Founder and CEO

Dave Sonntag has extensive experience creating, planning, and producing dynamic live events. He is an award-winning producer of events across Washington, DC, and served as Executive Producer of the Inaugural Ceremony for the 55th Governor of New Jersey.

Dave traveled extensively during the 2008 and 2012 campaign seasons and produced more than 50 Presidential campaign events. Before founding Decibel, he oversaw events as a Vice President at FleishmanHillard, where he gained deep experience in message development and delivery.

His work spans technical production, advance, bus tour logistics, transportation management, event design and production, and marketing communications. His events have earned 11 Telly Awards, nine PRSA Silver Anvil honors, and an Event Technology Award. The Triangle Business Journal selected Dave for its 40 Under 40 Leadership Awards in 2017.
